Your stake size matters less than you think

In traditional staking, size is everything.

  • 5 SOL earns exactly 5x what 1 SOL earns.
  • 500 SOL earns 100x what 5 SOL earns.

The math never changes and the gap never closes.

That's how proportional yield works. Your reward is a direct function of your stack. Small holders get small outcomes, while large holders get large outcomes.

The distribution just mirrors the existing distribution of wealth.

Three draws = Three different edges for smaller stakers

Tramplin now runs three draws simultaneously, each with its own mechanics.

Here's why each one matters if you're not staking with a whale-sized wallet.
  • Regular Draw:

This is the biggest shift. Under the old system, your chance of winning the Regular Draw was directly proportional to your stake. A 5,000 SOL wallet had 5,000× the odds of a 1 SOL wallet. That's gone now.

The Regular Draw now runs on equal odds per staker. One staker, one chance. A 5 SOL wallet has the exact same shot as a 50,000 SOL wallet.
  • Big Draw:

The Big Draw still weighs by stake size, but through a square root formula instead of linear weighting.

The result: whale advantage drops from 5,000× down to ~70×. A small staker is no longer competing against an insurmountable wall. The playing field has compressed dramatically.
  • Epoch Draw

A brand new draw. 50% of the total reward pool. 7 unique winners picked every epoch.

With seven winners running from the largest pool share, small stakers now have a real shot at landing on the board every single epoch, something that was nearly impossible under the old single-draw system.

The math

At 6-7% APR, what native staking offers, a 5 SOL stake generates roughly 0.3 SOL a year. At current prices, that's around $25.Not nothing. But not something that meaningfully changes your portfolio either.

Tramplin takes that same 0.3 SOL from every staker in the protocol, pools it, and redistributes it through rewards in three different ways.
